About iMMIS
The Integrated MSME Management Information System (iMMIS) is an innovation project of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Region 6. iMMIS is a web-based platform designed to efficiently manage information on Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). It was launched on 08 June 2023 in Iloilo City. This system serves as a basis for insights and data-driven planning and decision-making to support the development and execution of relevant programs, projects, and activities for MSMEs in the region.
Goals and Function of iMMIS
The iMMIS is designed with objectives to optimize the support and development of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the region.
- Decision Support:
- Serve as an excellent decision support tool for developing an effective intervention for MSMEs
- Enhanced Data Accessibility:
- Improve the accessibility of data in a secure, efficient, and effective way.
- Advanced Descriptive Analytics:
- Support descriptive analytics to generate meaningful insights and interpretations from the collected data that will aid in strategic planning and decision-making.
- Data Quality and Integrity:
- Ensure that information managed through iMMIS is reliable and accurate.
- System Integration:
- Facilitate system integration with other government platforms through Application Programming Interface (API), promoting interoperability across various systems.
Eight (8) Modules of iMMIS
- User Management
The User Management module handles user account creation, configuration, and maintenance. It includes features for assigning user roles and permissions, ensuring that access to the system aligns with organizational structures. The module enables system administrators to manage user profiles, reset passwords, monitor user activity, and control access rights to different areas of the system. It is designed to maintain security and ensure that data and resources are available only to authorized users.
- MSME Management
This module serves as the main repository for all MSME-related data within the system. It allows for the registration and profiling of MSMEs, including capturing essential information such as business sector, size, and location. The module enables the tracking of business growth, performance metrics, and other critical factors that contribute to MSME development. Users can also update and maintain MSME records over time, ensuring accurate and current data for reporting and analysis.
- Program and Training Management
The Program and Training Management module facilitates the administration of programs and training initiatives designed to support MSMEs. This module enables organizations to create training schedules, manage participant registrations, and track program outcomes. It offers tools for evaluating the effectiveness of programs and generating reports on attendance and participant progress. The module integrates seamlessly with other iMMIS components to ensure that training data is aligned with MSME profiles.
- Dashboard Management
This module provides a comprehensive view of key performance indicators (KPIs), analytics, and system data through customizable dashboards. It offers users an interactive platform to visualize data trends, monitor system activity, and generate real-time insights. Dashboard configurations can be tailored to individual users' needs, ensuring that relevant data is always accessible. The module supports decision-making by allowing users to monitor the health of MSMEs and the impact of various programs.
- Business Continuity Planning
The Business Continuity Planning module assists MSMEs in developing robust plans to handle disruptions in their operations. It includes features for risk assessment, identification of critical business functions, and strategies for mitigating operational risks. The module helps MSMEs prepare for crises such as natural disasters or market disruptions by providing tools to create detailed continuity plans, ensuring business resilience and rapid recovery.
- Market Intelligence
This module empowers MSMEs to make informed decisions by providing them with critical market data, competitor insights, and industry trends. It supports data collection, analysis, and reporting to help MSMEs understand their competitive positioning. The Market Intelligence module also aids businesses in identifying market opportunities, emerging risks, and areas for innovation. With this data, MSMEs can better tailor their strategies and improve their market share.
- Survey Management
Survey Management provides the tools necessary for designing, distributing, and analyzing surveys targeted at MSMEs or external stakeholders. This module supports the collection of both qualitative and quantitative data, enabling the gathering of feedback on business practices, market conditions, and customer satisfaction. It includes functionalities for generating reports and visualizing survey results, ensuring that organizations can make data-driven decisions based on MSME responses.
- Best Practice/Innovation
The Best Practice/Innovation module serves as a collaborative platform where MSMEs can share success stories, innovative strategies, and best practices. It encourages the exchange of knowledge and insights among MSMEs, allowing businesses to adopt proven methods that improve efficiency and competitiveness. This module facilitates the documentation and dissemination of practical solutions that have been successful within specific industries or business contexts.
